BIG NEWS from The Dragon!

After 6 years, I have made the important decision to close our Gordon Street location at the end of August. We loved being able to expand our family-focused shopping to the South end of Guelph, meeting new customers and providing more convenient access to old ones. However, after 2 very long years of pandemic struggle I've decided the best way forward is to consolidate the two Guelph locations back into the Downtown one, in order to provide better, more efficient service going forward. Believe me, this is a great move!
The Gordon Street location will close at the end of the day on Sunday, August 28th.
All reward points and gift cards will automatically be transferred to our Downtown location. For our existing subscribers, please confirm whether you'd like to continue your subscription. If so, we will automatically transfer your subscription to the Downtown location for comics releasing on August 31st.
MORE big news!
September brings the return of in-store gaming, starting with the Dominaria United Prerelease on September 3rd and 4th. Also, mark your calendars for September 17th, our 4th Guelph Comics Jam! We'll be running a storewide sale that weekend as well, cause we're about to have a whole lot more stock downtown!
And even MORE!
We will be opening the backissue room August 13th-14th and August 27th-28th. Pricing will be done on the spot, based primarily on All current prices will be reassessed and almost certainly to your advantage. After August, the backissues will be disappearing into storage, but you'll be able to send in lists for us to pull issues for you anytime. We will also have a variety of dent-and-ding Pop Vinyls and slower moving games on sale in the backissue room on those days.
A reminder that Downtown parking has recently gotten a lot easier! They've created more 2 hour spots on North Wyndham, and the lot that runs between Cork and Macdonnell is now also 2 hour free parking. Parkades are a $2 flat rate all day on Saturday and totally free on Sunday (as long as there isn't an event at the Sleeman Centre).
And one last reminder that Comics for Excellence runs until July 16th. Bring in your report card to get a free comic for every E in your learning skills.
Thank you for all your continued support, especially in the last couple of years! We are honoured to have been Guelph's go-to spot for comic and games shopping for the whole family, for the past almost 24 years!
